Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera surrounded by steep walls rising 610 meters from the crater floor with different attractions in ngorongoro conservation highlands. This spectacular breathtaking natural wonder covers 300 sq km area. The crater contains over 25,000 large animals including black rhino, wildebeests, zebras, eland, buffaloes, elephant, gazelles and predators including lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah and other cat family.

The ngorongoro crater floor covered by open short grass plains with fresh and brackish water lakes, marshes, swamps and forest the yellow fever tree acacia forest known as Lerai.Countless lesser flamingo forms a pink blanket over the soda lake (Magadi) inside crater floor while other bird species resident and migratory spotted in the crater.
